Information we collect
When you contact us, we may collect your name, company, email address, telephone number and the information you include in your enquiry. Our website and service providers may also process limited technical information needed to operate, secure and deliver the website and contact form, such as IP address, browser information and timestamps.
Why we use the information
We use personal information to receive, respond to and follow up enquiries, assess potential assignments, maintain relevant business correspondence, and operate and secure our website and communication services.
Our legal basis is normally our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and developing business relationships. Where an enquiry concerns a possible agreement, processing may also be necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. We do not use contact form information to send newsletters or unrelated marketing without a separate legal basis.
Service providers and transfers
We may share information with service providers that process it on our behalf, including providers of contact forms, communications, cloud storage, hosting and technical operations. They may only process the information under our instructions and applicable data processing agreements.
If information is processed outside the EU or EEA, we require a recognised transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards as required by data protection law.
How long we keep information
Enquiries are normally deleted no later than 12 months after the dialogue has ended. Information may be retained longer when it forms part of an active or potential client relationship, is needed to establish or defend legal claims, or must be retained to meet legal obligations. Technical records are retained only for as long as necessary for operation and security.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact us at hello@cence.no to exercise your rights.
You may lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
Changes
We may update this policy when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The current version will always be published on this page with the date of the latest update.
